NNPC, Dangote Strengthen Strategic Partnership

The Nigerian National Pe­troleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) and Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Pet­rochemicals (DPRP) have pledged to deepen collab­oration in order to ensure Nigeria’s energy security and advance shared pros­perity for Nigerians.

Mr. Aliko Dangote, Pres­ident/Chief Executive of Dangote Group, and his delegation paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, Group CEO of NNPC Ltd., and members of the company’s Senior Management Team at the NNPC Towers on Thurs­day.

During the visit, Dan­gote pledged to work with the new NNPC manage­ment to ensure Nigeria’s energy security.

“There is no competition between us; we are not here to compete with the NNPC Ltd. NNPC is an important part of our business, and we are also a part of NNPC. This is the era of collabora­tion between the two organ­isations.” Dangote added.

While congratulating the GCEO and the Senior Management Team on their “well-deserved ap­pointments,” Dangote ac­knowledged the enormity of the responsibility ahead, noting that the GCEO is facing a monumental task, which he believes is sur­mountable with the capa­ble hands at his disposal at NNPC.

In his remarks, GCEO Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari assured Dangote of a mutu­ally beneficial partnership based on healthy competi­tion and productive collab­oration.

Ojulari emphasised the exceptional calibre of talent he encountered at NNPC Ltd., describing the workforce as dedicat­ed, highly skilled, and hard-working professionals who are consistently eager to deliver value for Nigeria.

Ojulari expressed the company’s readiness to create a legacy of national prosperity through innova­tion and shared purpose, stating that NNPC will continue to collaborate with the Dangote Group, particularly where there is a commercial advantage for Nigeria.

Both executives also committed to serving as relationship managers for their respective organi­sations through ongoing productive collaboration and healthy competition, resulting in limitless op­portunities for both organ­isations.
