Nigerian actress Grace Bassey, formerly known by her stage name Belinda Effah, has officially transitioned from the entertainment industry to military service, joining the United States Navy.
Bassey completed her U.S. Navy boot camp and, in doing so, earned her American citizenship. In an emotional Instagram post, she shared the news along with photos from her journey, expressing gratitude and pride in her new path.
“Though I was raised in Nigeria, America has challenged me to be stronger, more disciplined, and more determined,” she wrote.
Grace Bassey dedicated this milestone to her late father, Naval Commander Asido Bassey Effah, calling her enlistment a tribute to his legacy of service.
