Activist Accuses Natasha Of Lying About Akpabio, Releases Recorded Evidence

United Kingdom-based activist, Dr. Sandra Duru—popularly known as Professor Mgbeke—has released what she claims is audio evidence disproving the sexual harassment allegations made by suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Speaking during a Facebook Live broadcast monitored Thursday night, Dr. Duru alleged that Akpoti-Uduaghan not only fabricated the harassment claim but also attempted to bribe her with ₦200 million to falsely accuse Akpabio of organ harvesting. She further claimed to possess call logs and recordings that, in her words, “clearly prove the senator lied.”

In the 68-minute broadcast, Dr. Duru said, “Natasha admitted to me during our conversation that the sexual harassment never happened and that she had no evidence. I called her out as a pathological liar who has brought shame to Nigerians.”

According to her, Akpoti-Uduaghan allegedly described Nigerians as “G and H”—gullible and hungry—and claimed that the Senate was part of a broader conspiracy against the so-called “Yoruba government.” Duru accused the senator of being “on a mission to destroy men” and of manipulating public sympathy without credible proof.

“She’s not teachable, she’s arrogant, and if something doesn’t go her way, she turns you into her enemy,” Duru said. “I won’t sit back and let her mislead our young girls and falsely target Nigerian men.”

Dr. Duru also stated that she had submitted recordings and other materials to law enforcement and international agencies for forensic analysis, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union and U.S.-based authorities. She claimed she managed to save evidence before Akpoti-Uduaghan allegedly deleted parts of their communications.

In a more serious twist, Dr. Duru alleged that Akpoti-Uduaghan had knowledge about the 2021 death of Iniubong Umoren, a young woman who was killed under tragic circumstances. “She said she knows more about the case and has not come forward. That is a matter for the Nigerian Police,” Duru said, denying any truth to rumors of organ harvesting in Umoren’s case.

The activist further alleged that the senator’s true motive is political, targeting not just the Senate President but the current administration. “She said it’s not just about Akpabio—it’s about stopping the Yoruba government from staying in power beyond four years,” Duru claimed.

Attempts to reach Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan for comment were unsuccessful. Her media aide, Israel Arogbonlo, initially responded but did not provide a statement before this report was filed.

Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended from the Senate on March 6 after a clash with the Senate leadership over changes to her seating arrangement. She later accused Akpabio of retaliating because she allegedly rejected his advances, and took her claims to an international stage during the Inter-Parliamentary Union meeting at the United Nations in New York.

Following escalating legal tensions, a court recently issued a gag order preventing both parties from making public statements on the matter. Despite this, Akpoti-Uduaghan published a pointed “apology letter” directed at Akpabio’s office just two days after his Vatican visit with a Federal Government delegation.
