ADC Not A Political Threat In Bauchi – PDP Chief Asserts

                  Bala Chiroma

A prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chiroma, has criticized recent defections from the party, describing the move as ungrateful and lacking in strategy. He expressed disappointment that individuals who had benefited significantly from the PDP’s platform have now aligned with the opposition.

Chiroma questioned the rationale behind defecting to rival parties, particularly the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which recently formed a coalition in Bauchi State. The PDP is the party that brought many of them to prominence. It’s disappointing to see them turn their backs on the very platform that gave them their current status, he said.

He urged Nigerians to disregard both the APC and ADC, and instead rally behind the PDP as the only party capable of steering the country out of its current challenges. I’m calling on Nigerians to forget about ADC and APC and come and join the only party with a clear vision, mission, and credibility to save this country, he added.

Chiroma’s remarks come in the wake of a wave of defections from the PDP to the ADC in Bauchi State.

Meanwhile, ADC State Chairman Hassan Haruna told Arewa PUNCH that the party continues to attract high-profile figures, including two former governorship candidates—Abubakar Sadiq and Halliru Jika—highlighting its growing political influence in the state.
