Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman is on the verge of a high-profile move to Inter Milan, with the Serie A giants reportedly reaching a €40 million agreement with the player, according to renowned Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
Di Marzio reported that Inter have made a firm approach for the Atalanta forward and are prepared to table a €40 million offer, signaling their serious intent. Inter are serious about Lookman. Agreement with the player is done—€40m ready for Atalanta,” Di Marzio stated.
Lookman, whose current contract with Atalanta runs until 2027, has already given his approval for the move. Talks between the clubs are ongoing, with Inter hopeful that Atalanta will honor a previous promise to allow the Nigerian international to leave this summer.
While Atalanta have placed a €50 million valuation on the former Leicester City man, Inter have made it clear they will not exceed their €40 million offer. Atalanta are asking for at least €50m, but Inter do not intend to go beyond their proposal,” Di Marzio added. “The player’s green light is why Inter are eager to avoid drawn-out negotiations. If talks stall, they may pivot to alternative targets, including Nico Gonzalez.
Lookman is coming off a stellar 2024–25 season, scoring 15 goals and playing a pivotal role in Atalanta’s UEFA Europa League triumph, further boosting his stock in European football.
