
Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal are edging closer to securing the signing of Victor Osimhen after raising their offer to €75 million to meet Napoli’s full release clause, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that personal terms between Osimhen and Al-Hilal have already been agreed. The Nigerian striker is set to sign a three-year contract, earning £25.9 million per year, totaling approximately £77.6 million over the duration of the deal.
Prior to this revised offer, Al-Hilal were reportedly €5 million short of Napoli’s asking price. However, they have now matched the release clause and are pushing to schedule Osimhen’s medical examination as soon as possible.
This move comes nearly a year after a potential transfer to Al-Hilal fell through during the previous summer window. Now, the Saudi champions are eager to finalize the deal in time for the FIFA Club World Cup, taking advantage of a short transfer window that closes on June 10.
Reports suggest Al-Hilal view Osimhen as a key addition for their Club World Cup campaign and could make room in the squad by allowing Aleksandar Mitrovic—formerly of Fulham—to leave, either on loan or permanently.
Osimhen, under contract with Napoli until 2026, is widely expected to depart the Italian side this summer following a breakdown in relations with the club’s management. That fractured relationship led to his loan move to Galatasaray last season, where he enjoyed a stellar campaign, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances, helping the Turkish club secure a domestic league and cup double.
