Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal have reportedly submitted a contract offer to Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as the club looks to bolster its squad ahead of the new season under incoming manager Simone Inzaghi.
Osimhen, who is currently contracted to Napoli, spent last season on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray, where he delivered an outstanding campaign—scoring 25 goals and providing five assists in 29 league appearances. He is set to return to Napoli this summer, with his current contract running until 2026.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Al Hilal have identified Osimhen as a key target for the summer transfer window and are prepared to activate his €75 million release clause to secure his services.
Despite persistent links to Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester United, a move to England has yet to materialize. Last summer, Chelsea legends John Obi Mikel and Didier Drogba were said to have personally contacted Osimhen in an effort to convince him to join the Blues.
“I hope Chelsea fans will finally see him come to the club,” Mikel said. “I’ll be sending him texts and making calls to make Chelsea his top priority. Didier [Drogba] is also speaking to him—sharing what the club means to us.”
Mikel added, “Osimhen clearly loves the club, and it’s no secret that many top sides are after him. If Chelsea can meet the fee, securing him would be fantastic for the club.”
As speculation continues, all eyes are now on Osimhen’s next move, with Al Hilal emerging as serious contenders for the Super Eagles star’s signature.
