Popular animal influencer Mike Holston, widely known online as The Real Tarzann, has been rushed to hospital following a skydiving accident that left him in significant pain.
According to reports, Holston shared the news with his followers on Instagram on Saturday, posting a photo of himself lying on a hospital gurney while giving a thumbs-up. He revealed that he sustained multiple injuries during the incident and would likely be sidelined for several weeks.
“Yesterday I had a skydiving accident. I’ll probably be out for a few weeks,” he wrote. “I’m pretty banged up at the moment, in some pretty good pain, but just happy to be alive.”
The social media personality, who boasts more than 16.5 million followers on Instagram, later posted videos to his Instagram Stories showing him wearing a neck brace and with one leg heavily bandaged. In one clip, he described the pain as intense in the hours immediately after the accident.
“I was messed up for like three hours. I couldn’t even breathe. My chest was killing me,” he said, adding that his condition has since improved.
Despite the injuries, Holston reassured fans that he is stable and maintaining a positive outlook.
“Thank God all is well. They didn’t get me off this Earth today. Nothing to worry about — just another rough day in the office,” he added.
Holston is known for sharing videos of close — and often risky — interactions with wild animals and also runs a YouTube channel with over 1.3 million subscribers. The incident comes months after he sparked backlash online for dangerous encounters with crocodiles during a trip to Australia, where he was bitten while wrestling one of the reptiles.
For now, Holston says his focus is on recovery, promising to share a detailed account of what went wrong during the skydiving accident once he is able.
