Big Brother Naija stars Liquorose and Prince Enwerem stole the show at the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) Cultural Day, held on Friday at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos. The duo was crowned Best Dressed Female and Male, respectively, for their stunning traditional outfits that celebrated Nigerian heritage.
Liquorose captivated the audience with an opulent, bead-adorned attire, complete with coral jewelry and an elaborate headpiece that exuded royalty and elegance. Prince, a former Mr. Nigeria known for his fashion flair, impressed with a richly embroidered ensemble complemented by vintage-style accessories that reflected his regal lineage.
They edged out other standout contestants, including fellow BBNaija alumni Neo and Venita Akpofure, who also made bold cultural fashion statements.
As winners, Liquorose and Prince each received a N1 million cash prize from Goldberg.
The AMVCA 2025 nominations, which were announced on March 23, span a wide range of categories, including Best Writing TV Series, Best Documentary, Best Digital Content Creator, and Best Scripted Series. Eligible works were released between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
Top-nominated titles include Lisabi: The Uprising, Skeleton Coast, House of Ga’a, and Freedom Way, each earning multiple nods in major categories such as Best Movie and Best Director.
In the performance categories, Gideon Okeke (Tokunbo), Stan Nze (Suspicion), Femi Adebayo (Seven Doors), and Adedimeji Lateef (Lisabi: The Uprising) are among the nominees for Best Lead Actor. Competing for Best Lead Actress are Chioma Chukwuka (Seven Doors), Bimbo Ademoye (Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre), and Uche Montana (Thinline).
