Former Big Brother Naija star Mike Edwards and his wife, British Olympian Perri Shakes-Drayton, have joyfully announced they are expecting their second child—news that comes after a deeply personal and challenging journey.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Perri shared that they had been “keeping a secret” and are now ready to celebrate the expansion of their family. Reflecting on their experience since welcoming their first son, Matthew, nearly five years ago, she revealed they had faced heartbreak along the way.
“We tried again between that time,” she wrote, “and I unfortunately experienced an ectopic pregnancy.”
Despite the pain, the couple stayed hopeful. Now, filled with gratitude and excitement, they’re preparing to welcome a new addition to their family.
