Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Farida Sultana Auduson Ibrahim, popularly known as Sultana, has revealed that she chose to practise Islam despite being raised in a mixed-faith household.
In a candid conversation with fellow housemate Zita on Wednesday night, the 25-year-old model shared insights into her religious background and personal journey.
When asked if her parents were strict Muslims, Sultana responded:
No, I grew up going to both church and mosque. My mom is a Christian. At some point, I got baptized in the Catholic Church — my baptismal name is Josephine. I just decided to choose the religion that works best for me, which is Islam
She further explained that her father is a Muslim from Adamawa State, while her mother is a Christian from Yala in Cross River State. Though she once practised Catholicism, Sultana said Islam resonated with her more deeply, both spiritually and personally.
