A 26-year-old influencer tragically died following a breast enlargement surgery.
Derleya Alves, a Brazilian model, fitness influencer, and mother of one, suffered complications after the procedure and passed away just eight days post-operation.
The influencer, who frequently shared her lifestyle on Instagram, posted her last photo on Saturday, February 28, updating fans on her recovery.
Derleya underwent surgery on February 20 but began experiencing severe pain immediately afterward. Despite her condition, she continued posting on social media, sharing moments from her hospital bed with the help of her mother. One post read:

Her health quickly deteriorated, prompting doctors to perform multiple tests and two additional surgeries, during which her intestines were repaired and one of her ovaries removed.
Sadly, she passed away at Marabá Municipal Hospital in northern Brazil.
Medical authorities are investigating whether a congenital intestinal condition may have contributed to her death. At this stage, there is no indication of medical malpractice. Officials are awaiting a detailed medical report to determine the exact cause of death.
