Carlo Ancelotti Turns Down Brazil National Team Job

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly turned down the opportunity to coach the Brazilian national team, despite months of speculation linking him to the role.

According to Marca, Ancelotti traveled to London on Monday and was expected to finalize a deal with Brazil’s football federation. However, he returned to Spain without signing the contract and has since informed Brazilian FA president Ednaldo Rodrigues of his decision to decline the offer.

The Italian coach’s change of heart is said to stem from uncertainty over the timing of his availability. While Brazil anticipated he could start in June, Ancelotti indicated he would only be free from August, prompting a breakdown in the agreement.

With the decision, Ancelotti is no longer in line to lead Brazil and could remain with Real Madrid through the Club World Cup this summer.

He is still expected to depart the Spanish club at the end of the season and is reportedly weighing a lucrative €50 million net offer to manage a club in Saudi Arabia.
