Chelsea Football Club has contacted Surrey Police after high-tech camera equipment worth around £30,000 went missing from their Cobham training facility.
According to The Sun, the equipment—used for training analysis and social media content—was discovered missing this week as first-team players returned ahead of the new Premier League season. While there is a chance the gear was simply misplaced during the summer break, the club deemed the incident suspicious enough to involve law enforcement.
A club source said the missing items could reappear as staff return to full operations, but police were called as a precaution.
Top-flight clubs like Chelsea routinely use advanced video equipment to monitor player performance and enhance tactical training. The Cobham base, located less than 20 miles from Stamford Bridge, reportedly cost £20 million to develop and serves as the central hub for all team operations.
Surrey Police has not yet issued a public statement on the investigation.
