Nollywood actress Chizzy Alichi has shared that she welcomed a baby boy some time ago but kept the news private due to a series of challenges surrounding his birth.
In a heartfelt message, Chizzy revealed that her pregnancy was complicated by a medical condition, making the journey extremely difficult. She said she spent months praying, shedding tears, and giving alms, holding on to hope for a safe delivery.
Her son was born prematurely at just 30 weeks and had to spend several weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). “It was the most difficult time of my life,” she wrote.
Thankfully, her son has now been discharged and is home with his parents. Filled with gratitude, Chizzy revealed his name — Kenechukwu, which means “thank God.”
