Arsenal staged a dramatic comeback from two goals behind to earn a 2-2 draw against Liverpool, despite finishing the match with 10 men, on an eventful afternoon at Anfield.
Liverpool looked in full control early on, scoring twice in under 90 seconds—Cody Gakpo headed in the first, followed quickly by Luis Díaz sliding in a second. But Arsenal responded after the break with headed goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Mikel Merino to level the score.
The result means Liverpool can no longer reach 90 points this season, while Arsenal remain second in the table and inch closer to securing a top-five finish.
