Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been formally charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
The charges relate to alleged incidents involving three different women between 2021 and 2022. As reported by the Daily Star, two of the rape charges involve one woman, three relate to a second woman, while the sexual assault charge concerns a third.
The investigation began in February 2022 following an initial police report.
Partey, 32, is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 5.
