FIFA President Gianni Infantino has congratulated Remo Stars FC on winning their first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.
In a letter dated May 21 and addressed to Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Ibrahim Gusau, Infantino praised the club for its consistency and hard work throughout the 2024/25 season.
By means of this letter, I am pleased to congratulate the new champions of Nigeria, Remo Stars FC, Infantino wrote.
Their constant efforts and results throughout the season have paid off, resulting in this important title. Congratulations to each and every member of the team and the club for this great achievement.
Infantino also commended the NFF for its ongoing commitment to developing football in Nigeria and expressed his hope for continued collaboration.
While thanking you and your Federation for your continuous support and dedication to football development, I look forward to seeing you again soon, he added.
Remo Stars secured the NPFL championship with three games to spare, following a 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes on matchday 35.
