Furious Youths Tear Down President Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign Billboard In Kano

A viral photo from Kano State shows dozens of angry youths destroying a large campaign billboard featuring President Bola Tinubu and other senior APC leaders, signaling strong public frustration ahead of the 2027 election.

The footage, taken on a major street in the historic city, captures young men in their 20s angrily tearing down the billboard with sticks and bare hands while others cheered and recorded the incident on their phones. The billboard bore the phrase “Fatan Alheri 2027” — a Hausa expression meaning “Best Wishes for 2027” — marking early campaign moves for Tinubu’s second term.

The video circulated widely on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) just a day after President Tinubu’s condolence visit to Benue State following a deadly attack by suspected herders. Currently, the president is in Kaduna State for official events and meetings with political figures.

The incident reflects growing public anger in Kano and beyond over worsening insecurity, rising living costs, and widespread disappointment with the APC government’s leadership among Nigeria’s youth.
