‘Golden Bachelor’ star Mel Owens settles nearly $1m divorce debt to ex-wife, ending court battle.

Mel Owens, a star of The Golden Bachelor, has reportedly paid nearly $1 million to his ex-wife, Fabiana Owens, bringing an end to their long-running post-divorce financial dispute.

Court documents show that Owens has settled the $1,024,887 he owed under the terms of their divorce agreement, which was finalised in December 2024. The issue resurfaced in late 2025 when Fabiana informed the court that her former husband had failed to make the required payment.

At the time, Fabiana requested that Owens’ five-bedroom home be sold if he did not comply with the settlement terms. In October 2025, a judge ordered Owens to pay the outstanding amount by November 7, warning that he would be required to vacate the property immediately if he failed to do so.

While the house was not ultimately sold, records indicate that Owens took out a $1.1 million loan against the property in December. The judgment lien tied to the divorce settlement was later released, signalling that the debt had been satisfied.

Sources familiar with the case say the loan proceeds were used to pay Fabiana in full, officially resolving the dispute between the former couple.
