Imo Assembly Backs Tinubu For 2027, Passes Confidence Vote On Uzodimma And APC

In a major show of political support, the Imo State House of Assembly has unanimously passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and endorsed him for re-election in 2027. The resolution was adopted during Governor Hope Uzodimma’s State of the State Address at the Assembly Complex in Owerri.

Leading the motion, Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu praised President Tinubu’s leadership, particularly highlighting his administration’s achievements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic development across the South East, especially in Imo State. He noted that these strides demonstrate the President’s commitment to national unity and regional inclusivity.

The House also passed a vote of confidence in Governor Uzodimma, commending his administration for transformative efforts in infrastructure and human capital development. Iwuanyanwu pointed to unprecedented road projects and people-centered policies that have redefined governance in Imo State since 1999.

Additionally, the motion expressed appreciation for the All Progressives Congress (APC), recognizing its role in fostering democratic values and driving national development. The Deputy Speaker described the APC as the largest and most influential political party in Africa, lauding its inclusive platform and ability to unite diverse political voices.

The unanimous votes signal not only endorsement but also a collective push for political stability, continuity, and a shared vision within the APC-led government.
