Iran Rejects U.S. Ultimatum As Middle East War Escalates And U.S. Fighter Jets Crash Over Kuwait

Iran has rejected an ultimatum from US President Donald Trump to disarm, as violence continues to escalate across the Middle East. Trump had urged Iranian leaders to lay down their weapons amid a surge in regional attacks, including missile strikes on Israel, several Arab states—such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the UAE—and US military bases.

However, Iranian national security official Ali Larijani confirmed that Tehran will not enter negotiations with Washington.

Meanwhile, Israel launched airstrikes on Beirut, Lebanon, after the militant group Hezbollah fired rockets across the border. Earlier on Sunday, a fighter jet crashed near a US military base in Kuwait. It remains unclear whether the aircraft was downed by an Iranian missile, US air defense, or a technical malfunction.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported at least 31 fatalities from the strikes, which come amid a broader military campaign involving US and Israeli attacks on Iranian targets. The escalation follows the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, intensifying tensions across the region.
