The global day observed annually on 12th August, and established by the United Nations General Assembly on 17 December 1999, highlights the vital role young people play in redefining multilateral diplomacy.
It also brings youth issues to the attention of the international community and celebrates their potential as partners in today’s global society.
Rabi Jammal, the Group General Manager of JMG Limited, stated that the IYD allows celebrating youths’ voices, actions, and initiatives, with a view to equitable engagement, and this underscores the company’s involvement of the age demographics in its activities, and through employment for economic and national development.
