Real Madrid has fired its Manager, Xabi Alonso with immediate effect and named a replacement.
The sack of Alonso was announced by the club on Monday evening following the poor performance in recent times.
On Sunday, the team lost to Barcelona in a cup match.
Alvaro Arbeola was named as the new Head Coach of the team.
Arbeola takes over with immediate effect.
