Kanye West has issued a cease and desist letter to Kim Kardashian, accusing her of violating their custody agreement and exploiting their children for publicity.
The letter, sent by Kanye’s attorney Kathy Johnson to Kim’s lawyer Laura Wasser, raises concerns about the welfare of their four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West. It outlines three main allegations against Kim, which Kanye claims breach the terms of their divorce settlement.
First, the rapper alleges that Kim brought their 11-year-old daughter North to the Met Gala in New York earlier this week and left her unattended in a vehicle during parts of the event. He also accuses Kim of ignoring his prior objections by posting images and videos of North on TikTok.
Second, Kanye claims Kim has denied him meaningful access to their children. He says he has not seen Saint at all this year and that his interactions with North, Chicago, and Psalm have been “unreasonably restricted,” despite their agreement for equal parenting and joint decision-making. However, his claim regarding Saint has been challenged, as photos surfaced showing Kanye with all three younger children in Japan earlier this year.
Lastly, Kanye accuses Kim of exploiting North for personal or commercial purposes by sharing her public appearances online, arguing that this disregards his joint custodial rights and opposition to the children’s exposure in the media.
Sources close to Kim, however, told TMZ that Kanye has made little effort to see the children this year, and that Kim has never denied him access when he has requested it.
