Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel has released a new EP titled Lemon Chase, a seven-track project that offers a deeply personal look into themes of love, loss, peace, and joy. Far from a mere prelude to his upcoming album Uncle K, the EP stands on its own as a heartfelt exploration of real-life emotions.
Each track captures a different mood—from the uplifting opener “Black Girl Magic” to the poignant closer “Police,” which features Mavin Records’ Johnny Drille and five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo. The project also includes energetic collaborations with Bella Shmurda, Odumodu Blvck, Zlatan, and Fola, blending soulful vocals with raw street vibes.
The production lineup is equally impressive, with contributions from Reward Beatz, Blaise Beatz, Magic Sticks, Bando, and Ayzed—all familiar names in Kizz Daniel’s hit-making history. Highlights include “Eyo” and “Black Girl Magic” (produced by Reward Beatz, Bando, and Blaise Beatz), “Secure” and “Peace I Chose” (Blaise Beatz), and “Titi” (Magic Sticks, co-produced by Reward Beatz and Blaise Beatz). Ayzed’s touch shines on “Al Jannah.”
Speaking about the EP, Kizz Daniel said, “When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. I wanted this project to feel like real life—sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful. This is music for the heart, for healing, hope, and memories. It had to be honest and true to self.”
