Amobi Ogah, the member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has rejected his reported suspension from the Labour Party, declaring unwavering support for Abia State Governor, Alex Otti.

The suspension, announced by a faction of the party led by Julius Abure, included Ogah and other Labour Party lawmakers in the House of Representatives, as well as Governor Otti.

Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Thursday, Ogah dismissed the move as baseless and politically motivated.

“The suspension is a joke taken too far—a distraction sponsored by those threatened by the new face of leadership in Abia State,” he said. “It means absolutely nothing to me.”

Ogah emphasized that his loyalty to Governor Otti and his administration’s transformational agenda remains steadfast. He praised the governor for bringing hope, accountability, and real progress to the state.

“Gov. Alex Otti is the best thing that has happened to Abia in decades. I am with him full time. No amount of intimidation can stop the will of the people,” he stated.

The lawmaker reassured his constituents of his continued focus on legislative responsibilities and effective representation, urging them to remain calm and united.
