Manchester United Agree Five-Year Deal To Sign Matheus Cunha From Wolves

                    Manchester United

Manchester United have reportedly struck a deal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha, with plans underway to activate his £62.5 million ($83.4 million) release clause.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Cunha has agreed to personal terms on a five-year contract at Old Trafford. United are expected to open direct talks with Wolves this week to finalize the activation of the clause.

Cunha has been in impressive form this season, netting 15 goals and providing six assists in the Premier League. He signed a new four-year contract with Wolves in February but has remained heavily linked with a move to United throughout the campaign.

The Red Devils are coming off a disappointing season, having lost the Europa League final to Tottenham and finishing 15th in the Premier League — a result that sees them miss out on European competition for only the second time in 35 years.

United manager Ruben Amorim is keen to reinforce his attacking line, with striker Rasmus Hojlund struggling for consistency and both Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford reportedly set to depart this summer.

Cunha’s arrival would mark a significant step in United’s rebuild as they aim to return to top-tier contention in the 2025/26 season.
