Nigeria Beats South Africa 2-1 To Reach

             

Super Falcons, on Tuesday, defeated Bayana Bayana of South Africa 2-1 to qualify for the final of the 2024 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON)

Goals from Rasheedat Ajibade in the first half and Alozie on the additional minutes of the game ensured that the serial African champions defeated their fierce rivals.

Nigeira scored through a penalty in the last minute of the first half when Ajibade converted from the spot. South Africa responded with a penalty kick on the second half after a South African was fouled inside Nigerian vital area.

However, when the match was thought to be heading to 30 minutes extra time in the 94th minute, Alozie scored from a free kick to ensure Nigeria will, in the final, meet the winner between the host, Morocco, and Ghana in the second semifinal.
