The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has announced that the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) will begin a planned maintenance shutdown starting today, May 24. This was confirmed in an official statement by Olufemi O. Soneye, NNPC Ltd’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer.

The shutdown is part of a scheduled maintenance and sustainability check aimed at improving the refinery’s operational efficiency. NNPC Ltd is working closely with key partners, including the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), to ensure the maintenance is carried out effectively and transparently.

NNPC Ltd reaffirmed its commitment to energy security, highlighting that this maintenance supports its goal of providing reliable and sustainable energy across Nigeria.
