North West Signs Record Deal With Gamma, Following In Kanye’s Footsteps

North West has reportedly reached a new milestone in her budding music career after signing a record deal with Gamma.

According to Rolling Stone, the 12-year-old daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian has joined the independent music company founded by former Apple executive Larry Jackson. The label is also partnering with Ye on the release of his upcoming 12th studio album, Bully.

The development comes shortly after North dropped her latest single, “Piercing on My Hand,” which streaming platforms list as released under North West/Gamma. The track, released on February 6, serves as both a bold fashion statement and a response to the attention surrounding her edgy, alternative style.

The song arrived just days after North posted a photo revealing multiple dermal piercings on her hands, sparking fresh debate online. On the track, the homeschooled pre-teen raps, “Shopping in Japan, that’s where I always stand / Went to school two days, then I got banned.”

North first previewed the Ye- and Will Frenchman-produced song in January, when she joined her father on stage before a crowd of 40,000 in Mexico City.
