
Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the Olubadan-designate, will be officially crowned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025,
According to findings by The PUNCH correspondent, Governor Seyi Makinde has approved Ladoja’s nomination. A delegation from the state government met with the former governor and members of the Olubadan-in-Council at his Bodija residence on Wednesday.
Adeola Oloko, media aide to the Olubadan-designate, confirmed the development.
“Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025,” Oloko said, adding that the coronation ceremony will take place at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
It is also worth noting that Oba Ladoja had met with the kingmakers on Tuesday ahead of the formal announcement.
