
President Bola Tinubu arrived in Makurdi, Benue State, on Wednesday, June 18, to visit victims of the recent attacks that have rocked the region. The President, accompanied by Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia and other top officials, visited the injured at a local hospital, offering words of comfort and solidarity.
The visit comes amid renewed concerns over the escalating violence in parts of Benue, which has left many displaced and injured. Tinubu’s presence was part of a broader effort to assess the security situation on the ground and to engage with community leaders and stakeholders on finding sustainable solutions to the protracted crisis.
The President reiterated his administration’s commitment to restoring peace and ensuring that those affected receive the necessary support and justice.
