South-East Key To Tinubu’s National Agenda, Says FG

The Federal Government has assured that the South-East remains central to President Bola Tinubu’s administration, emphasizing that the region has not been and will not be marginalised.

This assurance was given by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, during a Citizens’ Engagement held on Thursday in Enugu State.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the event was part of a three-day tour of projects and public engagements in Enugu and Ebonyi states by a federal delegation.

The aim of the visit is to directly engage citizens and highlight ongoing federal projects in the South-East region.

“Nigeria will never return to an era where any part of the country, including the South-East, is treated unfairly,” Idris said.

He noted that President Tinubu has established development commissions for previously neglected areas, appointed people from across all regions, and ensured fair distribution of projects as part of his inclusive leadership style.

“By the end of President Tinubu’s first term, the impact of his reforms will be more visible. This government is committed to transparency, accountability, and delivering real progress to all Nigerians,” he said.

The minister also highlighted various empowerment and humanitarian programs aimed at cushioning the effects of recent economic policies, including fuel subsidy removal.

The engagement event was attended by key stakeholders from Enugu State.
