Speed Darlington Summoned By NAPTIP Over Alleged Confession In Viral Video

                Speed Darlington to appear before NAPTIP over disturbing video

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has summoned Nigerian singer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as “Speed Darlington,” to appear at its national headquarters in Abuja. The scheduled appearance is set for Friday, May 30, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.

According to NAPTIP, the singer is required to respond to questions concerning a viral Instagram Live video in which he allegedly claimed to have had sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl at a hotel.

In a formal letter dated May 28, 2025, the agency stated that if the allegations are confirmed, Speed Darlington’s actions would constitute a violation of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015.

NAPTIP urged the singer to comply with the summons to avoid further legal actions from the agency.
