President Bola Tinubu on Thursday unveiled plans to construct a new national secretariat for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
Speaking at the 14th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party held at the State House Conference Centre, Tinubu said, “We’ll look for an appropriate land to build a befitting secretariat.”
However, he did not specify the cost or timeline for the project.
The APC’s current headquarters, known as the Muhammadu Buhari House, is located at 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja. The party purchased the property for N2.5 billion and moved in after renaming it in honour of former President Muhammadu Buhari in June 2021.
While the party previously hosted NEC meetings at the Buhari House, Thursday’s session was relocated to the Presidential Villa for logistical reasons.
