The Anambra State Police Command has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s successful official visit to the state is proof of the state’s safety and security.
Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, made the statement through the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, in Awka on Friday.
President Tinubu visited the state to inaugurate several key projects, including the Anambra State Government House, Solution Fun City, the Governor’s and Presidential Lodges, and the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
CP Orutugu praised the people of Anambra for their cooperation with security agencies before, during, and after the President’s visit.
“The successful hosting of the President in Awka reaffirms that Anambra is safe for both residents and visitors,” he said.
He emphasized that a strong focus on security coordination and collaboration remains crucial in addressing challenges and maintaining a peaceful environment.
The Commissioner also commended police officers and other security agencies for their resilience and improved coordination in ensuring safety across the state.
