
Ten home-based Super Eagles players and team officials have arrived in London for the 2025 edition of the Unity Cup. The arrival was confirmed on Monday morning, May 26, by team media officer Promise Efoghe.
The squad touched down at Gatwick Airport as preparations intensify for Nigeria’s opening match against arch-rivals Ghana, scheduled for Wednesday, May 28, at the Gtech Community Stadium — the home ground of Premier League side Brentford.

Tournament Overview:
The Unity Cup returns in 2025 after a 21-year hiatus. The last edition was held in 2004, where Nigeria clinched the title by defeating the Republic of Ireland 3-0 and Jamaica 2-0.
This year’s competition features four nations: Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago. The opening match will see Jamaica face Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday, May 27.
The Unity Cup is a celebration of Afro-Caribbean football and unity, aiming to strengthen sporting ties across the diaspora through friendly but competitive matches.
