US Adds 19 Nigerians To Deportation List

At least 19 more Nigerians have been added to the United States government’s “worst of the worst” criminal aliens list and are set to be deported.

Checks by PUNCH Metro on the website of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on Sunday show that the latest update brings the total number of Nigerians marked for deportation to 113.

The newly listed individuals were convicted of various offences, including sexual assault of a minor, fraud, assault, drug trafficking, and money laundering.

A statement accompanying the list noted that the individuals were arrested by officers of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and will be deported upon completion of immigration procedures.

It stated that the Department of Homeland Security is spotlighting the “worst of the worst” criminal aliens arrested by ICE, adding that under Secretary Kristi Noem, DHS and ICE are implementing mass deportations in line with President Donald Trump’s policy directives, beginning with high-priority offenders.

Those newly added to the list include Adeolu Solabu, Oladayo Agboola, Chinonso Ochie, Oluchi Jennifer Chimdimma Chime, Samuel Omorodion, Sunday Adediora, Sunday Kunkushi, and Mkpouto Etukudoh.

Others are Marcus Unigwe, Kehinde James, Blessing Uchanma, Victor Adebisi, Richard Ugbah, Olaniyi Ojikutu, Oluwamuyiwa Olawoye, Okechukwu Amadi, Femi Jolayemi, Anthony Asanya, Izuchukwu Okoye, and Ebele Agbasiele.

The development comes amid an intensified crackdown by U.S. authorities on criminal offenders and undocumented migrants. PUNCH Metro had earlier reported that 79 convicted Nigerians were initially listed for deportation following their arrest by ICE. The figure has since risen to 113 within three weeks.
