Former Nigeria international Victor Moses has joined Kazakhstan Premier League side Kaysar FC, marking the 11th club of his professional career, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The Kyzylorda-based club confirmed the signing on Saturday via its official Facebook page, describing the 35-year-old as an experienced midfielder whose pedigree at top European clubs will add quality and leadership to the team.
“Kaysar Football Club officially announces that experienced midfielder Victor Moses has signed a contract with the team. The former Nigerian international will represent the Kyzylorda-based club in the upcoming season,” the statement read.
“Victor Moses is widely recognised for his experience at several top European clubs and his high-level expertise on the field. His arrival underlines the club’s ambitions for the new season. The management and coaching staff believe his experience and skill will positively impact the team’s development and the growth of younger players.”
According to Vesti.kz, Moses has signed a one-year contract with the club.
Capable of playing as a winger or wing-back, Moses enjoyed a distinguished career in Europe, beginning at Crystal Palace in 2007 before moving to Wigan Athletic in 2010. He joined Chelsea in 2012 and was part of the squad that won the Premier League title in the 2016/17 season.
He later had loan spells at Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United, Fenerbahçe, Inter Milan, and Spartak Moscow, before signing permanently for Spartak Moscow, where he played between 2021 and 2024. His most recent club was EFL League One side Luton Town, who released him at the end of his contract in June 2025.
At international level, Moses earned 38 caps for Nigeria between 2012 and 2018, scoring 12 goals. He was a key member of the Super Eagles squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and featured at the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups.
Kaysar FC are founding members of the Kazakhstan Premier League and have been relegated only three times in their history. The club’s most successful period came in 1998, when they won the Kazakhstan Cup and finished fourth in the league, before lifting the Cup again in 2019.
