The Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State, Kabiru Garba, has called on Governor Dauda Lawal to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the ADC.
Speaking at a press conference in Gusau on Friday, Garba revealed that over 100 political figures from various parties in the state have already defected to the ADC. We are formally inviting Governor Dauda Lawal to join our party and contribute to the development of Zamfara. Our doors are open to all, regardless of position, Garba said.
He assured both new and old members of equal treatment and opportunities within the party, noting that ADC’s appeal lies in its leadership’s commitment to justice, fairness, and grassroots inclusion. We’re already orienting the new members on our party doctrine so they can align with our constitution and principles, he added.
Garba also emphasized the importance of grassroots politics and encouraged future defectors to go through proper channels—from ward to local government and then to the state level. That’s how we ensure the mandate of the people is truly reflected, he said.
