Nollywood actress Bimpe Akintunde, popularly known as Wasila Coded, has opened up about her recent pregnancy journey, describing it as both terrifying and miraculous. The actress, who welcomed her second child in July, revealed that the nine-month experience was fraught with health scares and multiple emergency hospital visits.

In a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Friday, Akintunde detailed the physical and emotional challenges she faced while carrying her baby. She disclosed that she suffered from persistently low blood pressure throughout the pregnancy—a condition that at one point caused her to collapse on a film set.

“I started battling low blood pressure in January, but I kept strong and continued going to work. I remember collapsing on #iamkennygorge in early February while filming The Return of Sambala in Ikorodu. Luckily, my clinic is in Ikorodu, so I drove myself straight there,” she wrote.

Akintunde revealed that the condition led to no fewer than six emergency hospital visits. “I was in and out of the hospital on emergency treatment about six times during the pregnancy, all because of the low BP,” she added.

Beyond the physical struggles, the actress shared that she also endured a series of disturbing dreams and unsettling prophecies, including some from people who weren’t even aware of her pregnancy. Despite the fear and anxiety, she said her faith carried her through.

“I had so many scary dreams and death revelations even from people who neither saw me nor knew I was pregnant. It was indeed a tough and frightening journey, but one thing I know for sure is that God was part of it. He would never leave me alone,” she expressed.

Recounting the moment of delivery, Akintunde said she had visited the clinic on July 17 for a routine treatment, unaware that labour would begin the next morning.

“On Friday morning, I was getting ready to go home when the doctor in charge asked me to come to the delivery room for a check. She told me to stay back—the baby was coming! My heart skipped,” she recalled.

The delivery, she described, was unexpectedly swift and smooth. “As the contractions grew more intense, I didn’t even know where I dropped my phone. Behold, all of this took less than three hours and my precious gift from God arrived!”

She added that after nearly a decade, she was able to deliver naturally, without surgery or complications. “No C-section, no complications, and with the fastest labour recorded in the clinic this year,” she wrote. “Mom and daughter are doing fine. Dear God, it can only be You.”
