Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has dismissed rumours suggesting he plans to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reaffirming his loyalty to the party.
In a statement released on Saturday, July 5, Adeleke described the reports as false and urged the public to disregard them.
“I remain a loyal member and leader of the PDP in Osun State,” he said, assuring residents of his continued commitment to delivering on his administration’s five-point development agenda.
The governor clarified that the speculation—linking him to a potential move to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) or the All Progressives Congress (APC)—was baseless.
“My focus is on good governance and fulfilling our promises to the people,” he said, urging supporters to ignore the “fake news” and stay committed to building a better Osun.
Adeleke, whose term ends in 2026, is expected to seek re-election in the state’s off-cycle governorship election scheduled for August 2026.
