Bukayo Saka has signed a new five-year contract with Arsenal FC, committing his future to the club until 2031 and becoming the highest-paid player in Arsenal’s history.
Saka’s previous deal had been due to expire in June 2027, but the winger has now put pen to paper on an extension that secures his long-term stay in north London.
The England international has established himself as one of Arsenal’s most influential figures under manager Mikel Arteta, playing more minutes than any other Arsenal player since Arteta took charge in 2019.
“I’m feeling amazing. I think it’s a fantastic moment for my family and for me,” Saka told club media. “I feel immense joy to continue my journey at this club. For me, it was an easy commitment and I just hope to win everything here.
“The journey that I’ve been on, from where I started to where I am now, and the journey the team’s been on as well, is a special one. I believe the next few years are going to be the years that we get over the line, win trophies and make history for this club. We’re back where we belong, fighting for everything.”
Saka will be aiming to add to his honours with Arsenal still competing for the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and EFL Cup this season. The 2020 FA Cup remains the only major trophy he has won with the club so far.
The 24-year-old is the latest Arsenal star to pledge his future to the club, following recent long-term contract extensions signed by William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães.
