Carlos Alcaraz beats Jiri Lehecka to win Queen’s Club men’s singles title

Carlos Alcaraz continued his remarkable rise in men’s tennis by clinching the Queen’s Club men’s singles title on Sunday, June 22, 2025. In a gripping final, the world No. 2 battled past Czech rising star Jiří Lehečka with a 7–5, 6–7(5), 6–2 victory, marking his second career win at the prestigious ATP 500 event after first triumphing in 2023.

The win not only earned Alcaraz his 21st ATP Tour title but also extended his unbeaten run to 18 consecutive matches, stretching across Rome, Roland Garros, and now London’s Queen’s Club. The 22-year-old Spaniard is now aiming for a rare summer treble—a Queen’s, French Open, and Wimbledon sweep—last achieved by Rafael Nadal.

Alcaraz’s performance in the final was nothing short of clinical. He fired 18 aces, did not face a single break point, and showed incredible poise under pressure. His serve, movement, and shot selection dazzled the crowd, reaffirming his growing dominance on grass courts.

Notably, this tournament also marked another milestone for Alcaraz, who has now surpassed 250 career tour-level wins, becoming the third-fastest player in the Open Era to reach the achievement.

Alcaraz credited a brief retreat in Ibiza following the French Open for helping him reset mentally before the transition to grass, a surface where he continues to evolve with each match.

As Wimbledon looms, beginning June 30, Alcaraz enters the tournament in peak form and as one of the top contenders. With his confidence soaring and momentum on his side, the tennis world is watching to see if he can capture his third Grand Slam title of the year.

In just a few weeks, Carlos Alcaraz could not only make history—but firmly establish himself as the defining player of a new tennis era.
