The Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ali Bukar Dalori, on June 30 officially assumed office as the party’s Acting National Chairman.
His appointment follows the recent resignation of former chairman Dr. Umar Ganduje, who stepped down citing health reasons. President Bola Tinubu directed Dalori to take over in an acting capacity pending the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, where a substantive chairman will be elected.
Upon assuming office, Dalori presided over the APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) meeting at the party’s headquarters.
In his address, Dalori said his appointment is not a personal victory but a call to serve. He described this transition as a time for unity and consolidation, not conflict or ambition. He urged members of the NWC and the wider party structure to rally together in moving the APC forward.
