Mozuk Future Solutions Limited, in collaboration with Fidelity Bank Plc, has launched a free blood group testing initiative in Abuja to mark World Blood Donor Day, observed annually on June 14.
The 2025 theme for World Blood Donor Day is “Give blood, give hope: Together we save lives.” The day celebrates voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving generosity and aims to raise awareness about the ongoing need for safe and regular blood donations.
In a statement released on Sunday, Steve Aborisade noted that the free blood group testing, conducted on Saturday in Abuja, aimed to educate the public on the importance of knowing their blood type, encourage voluntary blood donation, and promote it as a civic duty.
“As part of the event, Mozuk is offering free blood group testing using its innovative ABOD Rapid Diagnostic Test Kits—a quick, simple, and accurate tool for determining blood type,” the statement read.
Dr. Godwin Emmanuel, Managing Director of Mozuk Future Solutions, highlighted the significance of the initiative:
“This event reflects our dedication to advancing public health through innovation and partnerships. Knowing your blood group is not just important—it’s potentially life-saving in emergency situations. We’re proud to partner with Fidelity Bank to make this impact.”
Fidelity Bank Plc’s Relationship Manager, Mr. Alaba Afolabi, also emphasized the bank’s commitment:
“As a socially responsible institution, we are proud to support this vital initiative. Blood donation saves lives daily, and providing free access to testing is a powerful way to give back. This partnership is a testament to our commitment to health and community development.”
