Honourable Natasha Osawaru, wife of music icon 2Baba, recently delivered an inspiring speech on his behalf at a youth-focused event, urging students to recognize and nurture talents that extend beyond the traditional classroom setting.
Introducing herself to the audience, she began warmly:
“My name is Baby Natasha, and I’m here to deliver a message from my husband, known to many as 2Face or 2Baba. He couldn’t be here today.”
She opened the speech with the theme: “Talent Beyond the Classroom Walls.”
“You might be wondering, what does that even mean?” she said. “Well, it’s about all the incredible things young people are capable of doing outside school subjects.”
Natasha emphasized that while school focuses on core academics like Math, Science, and English, it’s equally important to recognize the value of creativity, passion, and natural talent.
To make her point, she referenced her husband’s musical journey:
“Do you guys know the song African Queen?” she asked, sparking a wave of recognition among the students.
Though her speech was brief, it carried a powerful message: academic success is important, but so is embracing and developing the creative gifts that lie outside the classroom. Her words left the young audience encouraged and empowered to explore their own unique potential.
