The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says 21 vessels are currently offloading petroleum products and other commodities at Lagos ports.
The update was contained in the agency’s daily publication, Shipping Position, released to journalists in Lagos on Saturday.
According to the NPA, the ships are discharging cargo at Apapa, Lekki, and Tin-Can Island ports. The consignments include aviation fuel, petrol, diesel, bulk gas, cargo trucks, bulk wheat, bulk alkaline, general cargo, bulk sugar, fresh fish, soya bean oil, bulk clinker, and containerised goods.
The authority also disclosed that 41 additional vessels carrying petroleum products, food items, and other goods are expected to arrive at the Lagos ports between February 28 and March 7. These incoming ships are scheduled to deliver general cargo, bulk wheat, bulk sugar, crude oil, bulk fertiliser, bulk salt, containers with various goods, and petrol.
Furthermore, the NPA said 17 vessels have already arrived and are awaiting berth. Their cargo includes bulk urea, diesel, aviation fuel, crude oil, ethanol, bulk wheat, general cargo, and bulk pallets.
