Former NBA star Lamar Odom has completed a 30-day rehabilitation programme at iRely Recovery in Los Angeles after a recent DUI arrest.
The 46-year-old entered treatment shortly after the incident. While Odom initially stated that neither alcohol nor narcotics were involved, police reports indicated that his vehicle allegedly smelled of marijuana when he was stopped and that he admitted to having smoked earlier in the day.
According to his manager, Gina Rodriguez, Odom voluntarily sought help to address his marijuana use, concerned it could potentially lead to a relapse into harder substances. The former basketball star has been candid in the past about his long battle with addiction.
Odom chose iRely Recovery after reconnecting with the facility’s CEO, Vinsent Franke. The two had previously crossed paths in 2023 when Franke invited Odom to visit the centre after being moved by his speech at the Annual California Addiction Conference. Following the DUI arrest, Odom reportedly contacted Franke for support and subsequently enrolled in the programme.
Now out of rehab, Odom is focusing on a new entrepreneurial venture. Sources say he is developing HealLO.co, an AI-powered nationwide platform designed to connect individuals with wellness and treatment centres across the United States.
